libgfortran-4.7-dev software package provides Runtime library for GNU Fortran applications (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgfortran-4.7-dev
libgfortran-4.7-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgfortran-4.7-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgfortran-4.7-dev *
You will get with libgfortran-4.7-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
